A tuition centre puts your child into a class that already exists. We build the class around your child instead.
Our in-house algorithm watches every new request as it arrives and forms a group only when enough students share the same syllabus, sit at the same level, and are free at the same hours. Sometimes, it finds an existing group that your child may fit into. Groups run online with two to five students.
A lower price is only part of the benefits. Research has shown that students often learn as much from the questions their classmates ask as from their own. Put otherwise, in a small Socratic group, your child gains from every question asked around the table rather than only the ones they think of themselves.

What it costs
A more experienced tutor, within reach.
A seat costs around 40% less an hour than the same tutor teaching one-on-one, which is often what brings a tutor of the calibre you want within budget.
Your seat price is fixed when you join and does not change with the size of the group. You pay monthly in advance, from which we retain 15% as an administrative fee for as long as your child is in the group.
If a seat opens up, we will keep a lookout for another suitable student, so your child keeps the benefit of learning in a small group.

How long before a group is found?
It depends on how many other families are looking for a small group in the same subject at the same level. We will contact you once a suitable group is ready, and we will continue searching for a private tutor in the meantime.
How do the lessons run?
Lessons are held online for now, which enables us to bring together students from across Singapore who share a syllabus and availability.
Occasionally, a tutor may have space available and may be willing to conduct in-person group classes. In such exceptional circumstances, we will let you know when we reach out to you about the group.
Does my price change if the group size changes?
Your seat price is fixed when your child joins, and it does not change with the size of the group.
What if my child needs to miss a class?
Please let us know at least 48 hours beforehand, and the class will not be charged. We will of course be flexible in exceptional circumstances, such as a medical emergency supported by a medical certificate. Without that notice, the class is charged as usual.
If you would like a make-up lesson, please arrange it through us and we will approach the tutor. Make-up lessons are taught one-to-one and charged at the tutor’s private rate rather than the group rate, with us retaining 15% as commission.

Can the tutor reschedule a class?
The same notice applies to your tutor. They must tell us at least 48 hours beforehand, and we will arrange a new time with the group. If a class is missed without that notice, you will not be charged for it.
What happens if a classmate leaves?
Your price remains as agreed. We will keep a lookout for another suitable student, so that your child continues to benefit from learning alongside their peers in a small group setting.
What if we want to leave the group?
Please tell us at least 48 hours before the next lesson, and we will refund the balance of any lessons you have paid for but not yet had.
What if the tutor terminates the group class?
Tutors are required to provide two weeks of notice through us before ending any group class. When we reach out to let you know, you may tell us whether you would like to search for another group, move to private one-to-one tuition, or take a break.
Can we move to one-to-one later?
Yes, you may move at any time. Please contact us, and we will begin a private search, with the first week working as it does for any family starting private tuition.
